What is the difference between shifting and non-shifting packages?
Shifting
: You stay close to Haram but move to Aziziyah during Hajj days. Aziziyah offers a calmer environment and access to transportation to Haram.
Non-shifting
: You remain in a hotel close to Haram throughout the Hajj stay, with no movement to Aziziyah.
What is the difference between the various Mina/Arafat Tents categories?
Hajj packages provide a choice between two camps in Mina and Arafat: Majr Al-Kabsh Camp and the standard camp. The main distinction lies in their locations, with the Majr Al-Kabsh camps being closer in terms of walking distance to the Jamarat.
Majr Al-Kabsh Camp
boasts its strategic location, just 300 meters from the Jamarat Bridge, making it a quick and convenient 10-minute walk for pilgrims. This proximity ensures ease and convenience for performing rituals. The services provided in this camp are slightly higher in level. Transportation between Mina, Muzdalifah and Arafat will be by train.
Standard Camp
stands out with its impressive capacity, accommodating up to 30,000 pilgrims. This year, the Standard camp is situated approximately a 45 - 60 minute walk from the Jamarat. Will there be a package description, and what will it include?
Clarity is vital regarding the package descriptions on the Nusuk website portal. It offers crucial details about your itinerary, package duration, location (Makkah or Madinah), travel mode (train or coach), meal provisions, and guide language proficiency. If I am in London and my friend is in America, can we be on the same package?
For Hajj 2024, packages were made available globally using custom flights. However, the system has changed this year, and this option is no longer technically feasible in the initial phase. It may become possible during the second phase, but only if the allocated quota is not fully utilised or an additional allocation is provided.
Can my family and I be guaranteed a room together?
Every effort will be made to keep families together; however, this cannot be guaranteed. The room type you have chosen will be honored, but males and females may have to be split in some cases due to the limitations of the Nusuk booking system. For shifting packages, accommodation in Aziziyah will be in quad rooms.
Will I have access to the packages before booking?
Before booking, individuals can explore available packages, inquire with marketing partners, and select their preferred option. Once the packages are open for booking, notifications will guide users to their preferred packages.
When will the prices be out?
Prices are unavailable. They will be published once packages are live on the Nusuk Portal. The Marketing partners have no control over this. We will let everybody know as soon as we have any definite information. Reviewing last year’s prices would be the best approach for an estimate.
Can you clarify whether the package dates include travel time from the country of residence and back?
For instance, a 10-day package includes travel time, but it is crucial to account for a day variation on either side. This flexibility is necessary due to the reliance on the lunar calendar dates for Hajj and flight schedules.
Which packages do you recommend if I want a comfortable journey for my elders?
For pilgrims seeking comfort and ease during Hajj, opting for a package spanning 16, 17, or 18 days is ideal. This extended duration provides ample time upon arrival, allowing for a peaceful stay in either Madinah or Makkah first. Pilgrims can perform Umrah at a relaxed pace, adjusting to the environment before embarking on the Hajj journey. Whether choosing Makkah or Madinah as the starting point, a non-shifting package is highly convenient. This ensures pilgrims can maximise their time in the Haram without frequent transfers. Booking a 17 or 18-day package offers a leisurely experience, avoiding any sense of rush. Rest assured, regardless of the chosen package, pilgrims will be well taken care of throughout their sacred journey.
Is Qurbani included?
The Qurbani (sacrifice) is not included as part of the package, however we will provide you with the necessary guidance to arrange the sacrifice.
Do the packages include flights?

While the package details are presented independently of the flight, completing the purchase of the package necessitates the selection of a corresponding flight. Pilgrims will have various flight options, ensuring flexibility and customization according to their preferences.
Will the Nusuk system stop you from choosing a package once it has reached its quota?
According to the information provided, once the quota is filled, the system will prohibit further bookings until the next phase opens, featuring the remaining unsold packages.
How do I know which room to book for myself and my companions?
Room Selection Guidelines:
For families, the available room selection type is "Lead Person + Companions." While we cannot guarantee that you will be able to share a room with your family members, you are guaranteed the room type you book. Room sharing is only allowed between mahrams.
The pricing for room sharing is as follows:
Quad Sharing: 100 SAR per person
Triple Sharing: 200 SAR per person
Double Sharing: 300 SAR per person
For example, if a Lead Person with one companion selects double sharing, both will pay for a double-sharing room, totaling 600 SAR (2 x 300 SAR). If a Lead Person with three companions selects double sharing, all persons will pay for double sharing, bringing the total cost to 1200 SAR (4 x 300 SAR). If triple sharing is chosen, the total cost would be 800 SAR (4 x 200 SAR), and if quad sharing is selected, all persons will pay for a quad-sharing room.
For a Lead Person with two companions selecting triple sharing, all three will pay for triple sharing, resulting in a total cost of 600 SAR (3 x 200 SAR).
For a Lead Person with four or more companions, the cost depends on the selected sharing type. If double sharing is chosen, the total cost is calculated by multiplying the number of persons by 300 SAR. For triple sharing, the total is calculated by multiplying the number of persons by 200 SAR, and for quad sharing, the cost is calculated by multiplying the number of persons by 100 SAR. For example, if four persons choose quad sharing, the total cost would be 400 SAR (4 x 100 SAR).
Once your booking is completed, we will contact you to confirm your rooming preferences before departure. While we will make every effort to accommodate your requests, we cannot guarantee specific preferences.
I received an email from Nusuk asking me to complete biometrics. What does this mean?
You are required to download the Saudi Bio App and complete the biometric process. The app is available for both iPhone and Android users at no cost. Follow the instructions provided in the app. Once the application is submitted, you will receive a status such as "Application Submitted Successfully," "Application under review" (wait for confirmation), or "Application rejected" (if rejected, delete the app, reinstall, and resubmit). If the biometric process is unsuccessful due to facial or fingerprint issues, you can upload a medical report. Persistence is essential, and reinstalling the app may help resolve any issues.
I am having difficulty completing the biometrics scanning. What should I do?
Some cameras and phones may struggle to capture clear fingerprint images, leading to repeated rejections. To improve accuracy, try switching devices, especially newer Android models like Google Pixel 6/7, Huawei, and Samsung, which have better performance. Apple devices, especially newer ones, can cause reflections, so increasing the resolution to 4K may help. Moisturizing fingertips and ensuring the camera is positioned close to the finger can also improve image quality. For elderly users, extra care may be needed due to less prominent fingerprints. Avoid bright lighting and reflections, and use a dark background for better results. If issues persist, deleting and reinstalling the app and resubmitting the images can often resolve problems. In case of visa rejection, following the same steps may lead to success on a second attempt. If biometrics cannot be completed, users can upload a medical report through the app for support.
What if I am a British Citizen but want to fly from another country?
For packages that include a group flight, you will need to fly from the designated departure country. If you choose to forfeit the group flight, you would be separated from the group during the journey, so it is not recommended.
Can I cancel a companion’s booking?
Yes, you can cancel a companion's booking, and the cancellation and refund policy will apply.
Can I choose different room types, and will my companions be housed together after booking?
While you can select different room types, the final room assignments depend on the profiles created. All individuals in a profile will be assigned the same room type. You can request specific room configurations, but room assignments are subject to availability. Companions in the same group will typically be housed together unless there are mahram restrictions.
Is it wise to split my profile?
Splitting profiles to secure different room configurations can be risky. There’s a chance the new profile may not be verified on time, or one profile might secure a booking while the other does not. It’s advisable to make these decisions early to minimize risks and ensure a smoother booking process.
What is the eWallet?
The eWallet allows pilgrims to fund their account in advance, ensuring a smoother booking process. Once you select a package, the funds are transferred to confirm your booking. This avoids payment delays and missed deadlines.
How do I fill up my eWallet?
The eWallet can be topped up through multiple payment methods, including cards and bank transfers. You can pay in full or in instalments, and the system allows flexibility for contributions from companions. Debit cards are recommended as they tend to have lower fees than credit cards.
Which currency will the packages be in?
Package prices will be displayed in your local currency, but the payment for the packages will be in Saudi Riyals (SAR). The conversion rate used may vary, so it is best to check current rates using currency converter apps like XE.
Do I need to pay extra for agent service?
No, there are no extra fees for agent services. The price you see is the price you pay.
How can I be sure that the payment was successful?
Once your payment is successful, you will receive a confirmation email, and a green "paid" icon will appear in your profile. Additionally, your eWallet balance will be updated.
I did not receive an email confirming a successful payment and booking confirmation. What should I do?
If you haven't received confirmation, please contact support at support@hajj.nusuk.sa or call 00966920031201.
Is there a limit to how much I can top up the eWallet at a time?
No, there is no specific limit to how much you can top up your eWallet.
Are there any fees for topping up the eWallet?
There are no fees for topping up your eWallet, but your payment method may incur international transaction or foreign exchange fees.
What about the 1.5% processing fee?
There is a 1.5% processing fee applied to all transactions, whether you're purchasing a package or requesting a refund. This fee is included in the package prices. For example, if you request a refund of 50,000 SAR, you will receive 49,250 SAR after the fee is deducted.
Do I have time to make the payment once the packages are released for purchase?
To secure your booking, you need to have sufficient funds in your eWallet at the time of package release. There is no option to pay later, so ensure your eWallet is topped up in advance.
If payment is initially made via bank transfer, can one later switch to card payment or vice versa?
Yes
How does one activate the eWallet, and is a specific minimum amount required?
You can activate your eWallet using a credit card or bank transfer. It’s advisable to test the functionality by sending a small amount (e.g., 10 SAR) to ensure everything works correctly before making larger payments.
Can multiple people pay into the eWallet, and can different payment methods be used?
Yes, multiple people can contribute to the eWallet, and various payment methods can be used, offering flexibility for group payments.
What if I need a refund?
To request a refund, ensure your bank details are registered during profile creation for a quicker process. Refunds will be processed following the updated procedures.
Will there be a lottery system for Hajj this year?
There will be no lottery system. Bookings will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Each country has a designated quota, and after the first phase, unfilled quotas from other countries will be pooled. The ministry will announce the timeline for this process.
When will my visa be approved?
Nusuk provides a feature to check your visa eligibility before making a payment or booking. This ensures you can identify any travel restrictions or eligibility issues before proceeding with the booking process.
How will the visa be issued, and will I have to visit the Saudi Embassy?
An eVisa will be issued, removing the need for a visit to the embassy unless complications arise. Unlike previous independent Hajj arrangements, the pre-verification process reduces the chances of visa issues. If passport submission at the Embassy becomes necessary, guides will assist you to ensure a smooth process.
Can I use my Umrah or Tourist visa for Hajj?
No, a Hajj visa must be obtained in advance. Performing Hajj on a tourist or Umrah visa is not allowed. Ensure you comply with all visa regulations, including obtaining a dedicated Hajj visa through the Nusuk platform. Overstaying can lead to fines, deportation, or bans on future entry into Saudi Arabia. Work is also prohibited on a Hajj visa, and travel is limited to Jeddah, Makkah, and Madinah.
Can a woman perform Hajj without a mahram?
Yes, a mahram is not required by Nusuk. However, it's recommended to consult with an Imam or Scholar for further guidance on this matter.
When will the prices be known?
Package prices will only be available once released on the Nusuk platform. A slight increase in prices is expected. Al-Bait Guests are keen to keep the packages as affordable as possible. A range of factors contribute to the overall pricing. For instance, booking a double room on a non-shifting Majr Al-Kabsh package in Mina will be more expensive than opting for a quad room on a shifting package in the Standard camp. Similarly, the length of a package may affect the price. A range of packages will be available to cater to various budgets. Further price information will be provided once the packages are accessible on the Nusuk platform.
How will we travel from Mina to Makkah during Hajj?
On Eid, pilgrims will travel from Mina to Makkah, typically using a combination of walking and coaches. Returning to Mina is exclusively by coach, though delays are possible due to the large number of pilgrims.
Which hotels are recommended for individuals with mobility issues?
Hilton Conrad and Hilton Suites are highly recommended for those with wheelchairs or mobility challenges due to their proximity to the Haram. The Hilton Convention and Hilton DoubleTree are also close, but the Hilton Convention may not be suitable for wheelchair users. Kiswah Towers, located a 20-minute walk from Haram, is less ideal for those with mobility issues.
